Kotoba no Puzzle: Mojipittan Advance is basically that—a Japanese word puzzle where you drop hiragana tiles anywhere on the board, as long as they form at least one real word. No waiting to build off existing words like in Scrabble—here, you can plop a tile between two unrelated words and somehow make it work.
The one-tile-per-turn rule keeps things simple, but the freedom to connect words in weird ways makes it surprisingly tricky. At first, I kept trying to play it like Scrabble and kept losing. Then I realized the fun is in finding those sneaky spots where one tile can link multiple words at once. If you know hiragana (or want to practice), it’s a great little brain teaser for the GBA.
