Play Lancaster Online
1989 Amiga action-simulator. Play as a WWII Lancaster bomber gunner. First-person view for shooting enemy planes, top-down view for precision bombing. Limited payload.

Lancaster arrived on the Amiga in 1989, published by CRL Group PLC and Prism Leisure Corporation Plc. It was one of those games that tried to capture a specific military simulation feel on a platform known for pushing graphical boundaries at the time. You don't pilot the entire plane; instead, you take on the role of a gunner inside a Lancaster bomber during World War II missions.
You control the turret views, switching between positions to defend the aircraft from enemy fighters using a first person perspective for shooting. The main objective is to complete bombing runs over target sites, which shifts to a top down map view for aiming and releasing your payload. You manage a limited supply of bombs and ammunition, making each shot and drop count. The pacing is tense, with waves of enemy attacks punctuating the careful navigation to your objective. It feels like a focused, claustrophobic task inside the larger machinery of war.
