I picked up Legend of Prince Valiant on the Game Boy back in 1992, a time when handheld games were often short, simple adventures. Ocean Software published it, and it was one of those licensed titles that tried to capture the spirit of the cartoon. It's a side-scrolling action game where you play as Prince Valiant himself, moving through forests, castles, and caves on a quest to become a Knight of the Round Table.

You control the prince through a series of interconnected screens, using your sword to fight off enemies like knights and archers.
