Game Overview

I picked up Les Indestructibles on the Game Boy Advance back when it came out, a game based on the Pixar film developed by Helixe and published by THQ. It was one of those licensed titles that tried to capture the energy of the movie on a handheld, fitting right in with the era's mix of action platformers and beat 'em ups. The GBA had plenty of these kinds of games, and this one stood out mostly if you were a fan of the characters.

You control members of the Incredibles family, switching between Mr. Incredible, Dash, and Violet to use their unique abilities. Mr. Incredible smashes obstacles and throws enemies, Dash runs at high speed to cross gaps or stun foes, and Violet uses force fields for defense. The goal is to fight through levels of enemies, solve simple environmental puzzles, and defeat bosses. The action is straightforward but varied thanks to the character switching; it keeps you moving and adapting. The difficulty is manageable, though some enemy patterns require attention. Playing it feels like a brisk, hands-on tour through the movie's action scenes.
