Download Lost Patrol, The_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
Survival game with real-time combat and strategy elements. Manage resources like ammo and food while navigating jungles with procedural enemy encounters. Features day/night cycles and multiple endings. Released in 1990 for Amiga.
Lost Patrol on the Amiga is one of those games that sticks with you—mostly because it’s brutal in the best way. You’re a lone soldier stranded in the jungle, trying to survive while enemy patrols hunt you down. The atmosphere is thick with tension; every rustle in the bushes could mean an ambush, and supplies are scarce enough to make you sweat.
The pixel art is moody as hell, all deep greens and shadows that make the jungle feel alive (and actively hostile). You’ll spend a lot of time sneaking, setting traps, and praying you don’t run into a patrol while low on ammo. It’s unforgiving, but that’s what makes pulling off a clean escape so satisfying.
Just don’t expect hand-holding—this is the kind of game where you’ll die a lot before figuring out how to stay alive. The Disk1 version has its quirks, but it’s the one I keep coming back to.
