Lucky Luke: Wanted! came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2001, published by Infogrames. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles that tried to capture the feel of older platformers, but with a bit more color and detail thanks to the hardware. The game is based on the comic series, so it has that lighthearted, cartoonish look that fits right in on the handheld.
You control Lucky Luke, a cowboy who moves through levels screen by screen, shooting enemies and avoiding obstacles. The main goal is to hunt down the four Dalton brothers, each waiting at the end of a stage. You use a lasso to temporarily stun foes and a six-shooter to take them out for good. The pacing is fairly quick, with simple platforming and enemy patterns that keep you alert. It feels straightforward and uncomplicated, like a breezy afternoon spent in the Old West.
