Game Overview
M&M's Blast! is basically Mario Party but with candy—and honestly, that’s all I needed to hear. You pick your favorite M&M (I always go with Yellow, no contest) and roll your way across these colorful boards, trying to hoard as many mini M&M’s as possible. Some spaces help, some screw you over, and some just throw you into these weird little minigames where you’re suddenly playing candy basketball or dodging falling chocolates.
The minigames are the best part—there’s a surprising variety, from racing through mazes to mini-golf with M&M’s as the ball. The boards have teleporters and random events too, so just when you think you’re winning, the game loves to mess with you. You can play solo against bots, but it’s way more chaotic with friends if you’ve got multiple GBAs and a link cable. And yeah, you can save mid-game, which is nice because sometimes you just need a break after losing all your candies to a bad dice roll.
It’s silly, it’s simple, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a licensed candy game in the best way possible.
