Play Malta Storm Amiga Online
Turn-based WWII strategy game set in the Mediterranean (1941-1942). Play as Axis or Allies, issuing commands to air, naval, and ground forces every three weeks. Text-based interface with reconnaissance reports between turns. Amiga, 1989.

Malta Storm came out for the Amiga in 1989, developed by Simulations Canada. It was a turn based strategy game set in the Mediterranean theater of World War II, from 1941 to 1942. At the time, it fit right in with other thoughtful, complex simulations on the platform that asked players to manage resources and think several moves ahead.
You take command of either the Axis or Allied forces, directing air, naval, and ground units across a series of three week turns. The game uses a text based interface where you issue orders and then receive reconnaissance reports on enemy movements. Your main goal is to achieve strategic dominance by controlling supply lines and weakening your opponent's ability to operate. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, and the difficulty comes from anticipating the enemy with limited information. It feels like conducting a slow, tense campaign from a remote headquarters.
