Play Marko Online
Some toy factory lunatic’s turning folks into goo, so you’re kicking mutant faces with a magic soccer ball—bouncing off it, pulling bicycle kicks, the whole ridiculous mess. Pure Genesis weirdness with a satisfying thwack when the ball connects.

Marko is one of those weird, charming Genesis platformers where the hero fights evil with a magic soccer ball. Yeah, you read that right. Some toy factory madman is turning people into goo monsters, and after your football gets drenched in mutant sludge, it becomes your weapon. You’ll bounce on it, kick enemies in the face with it, even pull off bicycle kicks—which, honestly, never gets old.
The levels are packed with obstacles and weird enemies, and figuring out how to use the ball in different ways keeps things interesting. The SNES version adds a couple of extra moves, but they don’t change much—this is pure arcade-style platforming with a soccer twist. If you’ve played Soccer Kid, it’ll feel familiar, but Marko has its own weird energy. Just don’t think too hard about why a kid with a magic ball is the only one who can stop an army of sludge mutants.
