I picked up Maya the Bee: The Great Adventure on Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a game developed by Neko Entertainment and published by The Game Factory. It came out during a time when licensed platformers were everywhere on the GBA, and this one fits right into that familiar, colorful mold. The visuals are bright and simple, with a lot of green and yellow, exactly what you'd expect from a game based on a children's show.

You control Maya, a little bee, and your main goal is to explore side-scrolling levels, gathering pollen from flowers while avoiding enemies like wasps and spiders. The gameplay involves a lot of jumping between platforms, sometimes with a slightly floaty feel that takes a minute to get used to. You collect pollen by touching flowers, and there's a light puzzle element where you might need to carry certain items or activate switches to progress. The pacing is relaxed, and the difficulty stays on the easier side, making it accessible for younger players. It feels like a straightforward, cheerful adventure that doesn't overcomplicate things.
