Download Mean Arenas_Disk2 ROM – Amiga Game
Action strategy game with 22 arenas across four zones (Robo, Dungeon, Rainbow, Starship). Collect gold coins, avoid traps, defeat enemies, and find hidden letters for extra lives. Uses password saves. Released in 1993 for Amiga.
Mean Arenas_Disk2 is one of those classic Amiga games that feels like a chaotic game show crossed with a dungeon crawler. You start off dumped into these wild, maze-like arenas—some look like futuristic robot zones, others are straight out of a medieval dungeon—and your job is to grab every gold coin while dodging monsters and hazards. The first few levels ease you in, but then suddenly you’re dealing with slippery floors, locked doors, and multi-level chaos.
There’s this weird little side challenge where you hunt down letters to spell "CREDIT" for an extra life, which feels oddly satisfying when you finally piece it together. And if the regular arenas aren’t tough enough, the speed rounds crank up the pressure—you’ve got to scramble for coins before time runs out, and everything moves faster. The game even throws you passwords so you can jump back in later, which is nice because some of these levels take a few tries to crack. It’s messy, unpredictable, and weirdly addictive once you get the hang of it.
