Play Medal of Honor - Infiltrator (J)(Rising Sun) Online
Weird top-down WWII shooter where you fumble with awkward angles at first, then get hooked on torching Nazis with a flamethrower while your guy shouts cheesy lines.

Medal of Honor: Infiltrator came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, published by THQ. It was part of a wave of World War II shooters at the time, but it stood out on the handheld by offering a top-down perspective instead of the usual first-person view. The game puts you in the Pacific theater, fighting Imperial Japanese forces across a series of mission-based levels.
You control an Allied soldier moving screen by screen, clearing areas of enemies and completing objectives like destroying artillery or rescuing prisoners. The controls take some getting used to; you aim with the shoulder buttons, and the fixed perspective can make lining up shots tricky at first. Signature mechanics include using a variety of period weapons, from rifles to flamethrowers, and driving vehicles in certain missions. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty is fair but demanding, especially when enemies swarm from off-screen. It feels satisfying to methodically work through each area, adapting to the perspective and making every shot count.
