Mega Man – The Wily Wars is basically a Sega Genesis remix of the first three NES Mega Man games—1 through 3—but with smoother visuals and way better sound. The music alone makes it worth a look if you're used to the original chiptunes.
It's not just a straight port, though. There's this extra mode called Wily Tower where you pick from a bunch of weapons and upgrades before tackling stages that mash up enemies and bosses from all three games. Kind of a best-of challenge mode, and honestly, it's tougher than it sounds.
If you've played the NES versions, the tweaked controls take a minute to adjust to, but once you do, it feels surprisingly good on the Genesis. Just don't expect Mega Man X-level speed.
