Play Mega Man V Online
Terra wrecks Mega Man in the opening cutscene—then you’re back with a rocket-powered punch and a robotic cat, taking on StarDroids that actually make you sweat. That final boss? Oof.

Mega Man V came out on the Game Boy in 1994, developed and published by Capcom. It was a late release for the handheld, arriving when the library was already deep with action games, but it stood out by doing its own thing instead of just being another NES port. This one introduced a new set of robot masters, the Stardroids, and a story that took the Blue Bomber into space.
You control Mega Man, running, jumping, and shooting through tightly designed stages, screen by screen. Your main goal is to defeat the eight Stardroids, take their weapons, and eventually confront the sun-based villain, Sunstar. Two mechanics define the flow: you get the Mega Arm early on, a powerful short-range grab and throw weapon, and later, Rush becomes a robotic cat you can ride, adding a new layer to platforming. The pacing is deliberate, the enemy placement often tricky, and the difficulty is substantial for a portable title, demanding careful observation and quick reflexes. It feels sharp and responsive, a well-crafted challenge that respects your time and skill.
