Game Overview

Meitantei Conan: Nerawareta Tantei came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed by Bandai. It was part of that wave of licensed detective games that tried to capture the feel of the show on a handheld screen, back when pixel art and text-heavy adventures were the norm for portable mysteries.

You control Conan Edogawa, moving him screen by screen through various locations to investigate crime scenes. The main goal is to solve cases by examining objects, talking to witnesses, and eventually confronting suspects with the right evidence to break their alibis. Key mechanics include searching environments for clues, which are then stored in your inventory, and presenting those items during conversations to prove someone is lying. The pacing is deliberate, requiring careful observation, and some puzzles can be tricky if you miss a detail. It feels like doing real detective work, just condensed into a small, thoughtful package.
