Game Overview

Metal Slug 4 keeps that classic run-and-gun chaos the series is known for, but with a few twists. The new scoring system actually makes you think about how you mow down enemies—grab an emblem, and suddenly you’ve got a timer ticking down, pushing you to rack up kills fast for bonus points. Mess up, and you’ll watch those potential rewards vanish.

Weirdly, Eri and Tarma are just… gone? Instead, you get Nadia and Trevor, who handle pretty much the same but still feel like someone swapped your favorite coffee mug without asking. The levels are still packed with ridiculous enemy spam, screen-filling explosions, and those chunky pixel-art tanks you love to hijack. That timer at the top of the screen taunts you the whole way, but surviving a level with badges intact feels oddly satisfying.

It’s pure, dumb arcade fun—just don’t expect it to reinvent the wheel.
