Two mechanics stand out: the ability to absorb certain enemy types to gain temporary abilities, like a brief speed boost or a protective shield, and the way each level scrolls both horizontally and vertically, encouraging thorough exploration. The pacing is brisk, and some later stages get quite tricky with their enemy placements and narrow pathways.
