Momotarou Collection came out for the Game Boy in 1996, developed by Hudson Soft. You control Momotarou as he moves screen by screen through the world, recruiting his three animal companions: a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant. Combat is straightforward, mostly involving close attacks, but the need to strategically use your companions keeps things engaging.
