Moonfall came out on the Amiga in 1991, published by 21st Century Entertainment Ltd. It was part of that wave of ambitious space trading sims that tried to do a bit of everything, fitting right into the platform's library of deep, sometimes messy, experiences.
You command a trading vessel, managing a cargo hold of 18 different goods while upgrading your ship's weapons and engines. The main goal is to complete missions, which often involve fighting off pirates or raiding freighters for their cargo. You fast-travel between settlements on a star map, and the pacing is deliberate, with a steep learning curve that punishes poor planning. It feels like a constant, tense juggling act between commerce and survival.
