Game Overview
Mortal Weapon on the Amiga is one of those classic side-scrolling shooters where you’re basically a tiny spaceship against an endless alien horde. The year is supposedly 2016 (which feels oddly quaint now), and you’re piloting this titanium death machine through waves of enemies that just keep coming.
What makes it fun is the weapon system—you collect discs to unlock different guns, and each one changes how you play. The basic horizontal shot is fine, but the side rockets and angled missiles force you to think about positioning. The plasma gun? Brutal when it hits, but you’ll be sweating between those slow, heavy shots. The stages mix things up with different backdrops and enemy types, so it never feels like you’re just grinding the same fight over and over.
