Motocross Maniacs is one of those Game Boy games that looks simple until you wipe out for the fifth time on the same stupid loop. You’re racing against the clock, bouncing your bike over ridiculous jumps, skidding through mud pits, and praying you don’t flip upside down mid-air (spoiler: you will).
The power-ups help—extra nitro gives you that desperate speed boost when you’re seconds from timing out, and the speed upgrades make you feel unstoppable… right until you misjudge a ramp. The two-player link cable mode is chaotic fun, especially when you both eat dirt simultaneously. Mostly, though, it’s just you, a bike, and a growing hatred for gravity.
