Motoracer Advance came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by Infogrames. It was part of that wave of early GBA racers trying to capture some of the arcade feel on a handheld, a time when developers were still figuring out how to make fast-paced 3D-style games work on the small screen.
You control a futuristic motorcycle, racing against a pack of aggressive AI opponents across a variety of tracks. The main objective is simple: finish first. The game uses a split-screen view during races, which was a notable technical feat for the hardware, and you have a turbo boost to manage for those crucial overtakes. The racing is fast and the collisions are punishing; one mistake can easily knock you from first to last. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble to hold your line and find any opening.
