Play Mugen Senshi Valis Online
You slash through neon dreamscapes as Yuko, dodging screen-filling bosses while a killer synth track blares—feels like playing an anime that forgot it wasn’t on VHS.

Mugen Senshi Valis came out on the Sega Genesis in 1991, developed and published by Riot. It was part of that wave of action platformers that tried to translate the look and feel of anime into a playable experience, standing alongside other titles that emphasized style and fast-paced combat on the system.
You control Yuko, a high school girl pulled into a fantasy world to defend it from invasion. The game plays out across side-scrolling stages where you slash enemies with your sword, collect power-ups to enhance your attack, and face large, screen-filling bosses at the end of each level. Movement is screen by screen, locking you into small combat arenas until you clear all the enemies, which keeps the action focused but can feel restrictive. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is noticeable, especially with some unforgiving enemy patterns. It feels like controlling the lead in a very frantic, very 90s OVA, where every jump and slash matters.
