Nail'N Scale came out for the Game Boy in 1992, published by Data East. It was one of those puzzle platformers that felt right at home on the handheld, where small screens and methodical challenges were the norm. You control a character who throws nails to interact with the environment. Some nails stick into walls and act as temporary platforms you can jump on; others are explosive and clear obstacles or enemies. The goal is to climb upward through single-screen rooms, solving environmental puzzles to progress. The pace is deliberate, and mistakes often mean falling and having to retry a room. It feels focused and tactile, a game of careful throws and well-timed jumps.
