Sky Kid’s the star here—dive-bombing targets and pulling loops while dodging flak, plus stacking blocks in Babel no Tō and some barebones tennis. Weird little Namco time capsule with that Super Game Boy color boost.

Namco Gallery Vol. 3 came out for the Game Boy in 1997, a compilation from Namco that bundled a few of their older arcade titles into one portable cartridge. It was a common type of release for the time, a way to experience some classic games without needing a full-sized cabinet. This particular volume includes Sky Kid, Tower of Babel, and a simple tennis game, offering a slice of the company's history you could take anywhere.
You primarily control a biplane in Sky Kid, dropping bombs on ground targets and enemy ships while avoiding anti-aircraft fire. The main objective is to complete each side-scrolling stage, rescuing a co-pilot and performing loop-the-loops to earn points. In Tower of Babel, you stack blocks to build a structure as high as possible before it collapses. The action is straightforward but demanding, with precise timing needed for bombing runs and careful placement required in the puzzle mode. It feels like handling a small, focused piece of arcade history in the palm of your hand.
