Neuronics came out on the Amiga in 1992, a time when the platform was full of inventive puzzle games. It was developed by Art Edition, a name you might recognize from other thoughtful titles of the era. The game doesn't try to overwhelm you with flash; it presents a clean, cerebral challenge that feels right at home on the system.
You control a cursor, swapping adjacent tiles on a grid to form matches of three or more identical symbols. The main goal is to clear the board by making these matches, which causes the tiles to vanish and new ones to fall into place from above. Two mechanics define the experience: the gaps left behind after a match limit your future moves, and you must plan several steps ahead to avoid getting stuck. The difficulty ramps up steadily, demanding more foresight with each level. It feels like a quiet, intense battle against the board itself.
