Nightdawn came out for the Amiga in 1989, developed by Magic Bytes. It was one of those games that blended action and puzzle elements during a time when the platform was full of creative, often experimental titles. You don't see many games like it anymore, but back then it felt right at home.

You control a remote tank from a top-down perspective, navigating maze-like levels filled with obstacles like locked doors, energy barriers, mines, turrets, and patrol bots. Your main goal is to find keys, disable barriers, and upgrade your tank with better cannons, radars, and mine detectors. The pacing is methodical; you have to think about each move, and hidden paths or optional upgrades reward careful exploration. It feels tense and deliberate, like a slow dance with danger where every decision matters.
