Play Obelix Online
Toss Romans like ragdolls, chuck boars at archers—Obelix lumbers like a tank but swings like a wrecking ball. Those little comic-book touches, like soldiers scrambling when you charge, make the chaos even better.

Obelix on the Game Boy, released in 2000 by Infogrames, is a side-scrolling action game based on the popular French comic series. It arrived late in the handheld's life, offering a straightforward, muscle-bound alternative to the more complex adventures of the era. You control the titular character, a menhir deliveryman with a fondness for wild boar and a deep dislike of Romans.
You move through levels punching, kicking, and throwing Roman soldiers and wildlife. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage, often rescuing Getafix or delivering a menhir. Signature mechanics include picking up enemies or objects to toss at other foes, and occasionally riding a wild boar to charge through obstacles. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels satisfying to plow through crowds with raw power, even if the controls sometimes lack precision.
