Ohanaya-san Monogatari is one of those GBA games I stumbled onto years ago and still think about when I want something peaceful. You run a tiny flower shop—watering plants, arranging bouquets, and chatting with customers who actually have personalities (unlike some sim games where everyone feels like cardboard).
The pixel art has this warm, slightly fuzzy look that makes the whole town feel alive. My first playthrough, I accidentally grew way too many tulips and had to scramble to sell them before they wilted. Turns out, the old lady who visits on Wednesdays will pay extra for lavender, but only if you wrap it in blue paper. Little details like that make it stick with you.
It’s not flashy, just… nice. Like drinking tea while it rains outside. If you’ve ever wished Animal Crossing had more to do with flowers than debt, this is your game.
