Olimpiada '96 is one of those classic Amiga sports games where you’ll either destroy your joystick or your friendships—maybe both. It’s got six Olympic events, from sprinting (basically just mashing buttons until your thumb cramps) to javelin and hammer throw, where timing and angle actually matter. Skeet shooting and archery are a nice change of pace, since they’re more about precision than brute force.

What’s fun is how unforgiving the Olympic mode is—one attempt per event, no do-overs. Mess up the long jump? Tough luck. Training mode lets you practice, but where’s the drama in that? The controls are simple, but good luck not yelling at your friends when someone inevitably waggles the joystick wrong and botches the hammer throw. It’s chaotic in the best way.
