Onimusha Tactics came out in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Capcom. You control a small group of characters, moving them across isometric battle maps to engage demonic forces in tactical combat. The main goal is to complete scenario objectives, often involving defeating all enemies or protecting specific units. Key mechanics include positioning your units to exploit weapon advantages, using special Oni powers that consume spirit energy, and managing limited inventory between missions. The pacing is deliberate, with some missions requiring careful planning to avoid character loss. It feels like a thoughtful, sometimes demanding puzzle where each move carries weight.
