Oo-Topos came out for the Amiga in 1986 from Polarware, a time when text adventures were starting to get more visual. It was a graphical update of an earlier text game, with illustrated scenes that gave you something to look at while you typed your commands.
You control an astronaut exploring an alien planet, typing simple verb-noun commands to interact with the world. Your main goal is to find a way off the hostile world, which involves navigating screen by screen, collecting useful items, and solving environmental puzzles. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, and the difficulty comes from figuring out what to do next with limited hints. It feels like a quiet, lonely puzzle box that you patiently work your way through.
