Play Operation Armored Liberty Online
Pilot an M1A1 through Iraq—line up shots, pop smoke when shells start flying, and pound enemy armor before they zero in on you. Those later boss tanks take serious punishment before they go down.

Operation Armored Liberty came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by MTO. It was a late release for the system, a time when many developers were already moving on to newer hardware, so finding a new, substantial tank game felt like a surprise. It didn't have the big marketing push of a Nintendo or Capcom title, which gave it a certain under-the-radar quality.
You control an M1A1 Abrams tank crew, navigating through grid-based maps of desert and urban Iraqi environments. Your main objective is to complete missions by destroying all enemy armor and installations on each screen. The core mechanics involve careful positioning to line up shots on enemy vehicles, using terrain for cover, and deploying smoke screens to break enemy targeting when you're outnumbered. The pacing is deliberate, almost tactical; you can't just rush in. Later missions get tough, with boss tanks that can absorb a lot of fire before being disabled. It feels like a slow, methodical game of chess, but with a lot more explosions.
