Ottifants, The came out in 1993 for the Sega Genesis, known as the Mega Drive in Europe. It was developed by Neon and published by Ocean, based on a German comic series. It fits right in with the era's platformers, colorful and a bit odd, not aiming to be a major hit but just something different to try.
You control Otto, a blue elephant, navigating through side-scrolling stages. The main goal is to rescue your friends by completing each level. You jump on platforms, avoid enemies, and collect fruit for points. Some stages let you ride a skateboard or pilot a small plane, adding a little variety. The controls feel a bit stiff, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. Playing it feels like stumbling through a strange cartoon you don't quite understand, but can't look away from.
