Game Overview
Outzone is one of those Amiga shooters that keeps you on your toes—you're basically a bodyguard for this slow-moving safety ship trying to crawl through 28 levels of chaos. Most of the time, you're blasting enemies ahead of it, but the real trick is dealing with those block puzzles. You gotta smash them into each other just right to uncover power-ups, which is way more satisfying than it sounds.
Oh, and sometimes the ship decides to steer itself straight into an indestructible wall, so you have to dock with it to change course—but then you can't shoot while you're connected. It's this weird mix of escort duty and puzzle-solving that somehow works. The weapons feel chunky, and those power-ups make all the difference when things get overwhelming.
Definitely one of those "just one more try" kind of games when you lose the ship at the last second.
