Over the Hedge: Beesten bij de Buren came out on Game Boy Advance in 2006, published by Activision. It was one of those many licensed games that filled the handheld's library, based on the animated movie of the same name. You control a group of animals trying to survive suburbia, which was a pretty common setup for platformers back then.

You play as RJ the raccoon, leading a crew that includes a turtle and a squirrel through maze-like backyards. The goal is to gather enough food for the group before winter, which means sneaking past homeowners, dogs, and automated sprinklers. You switch between characters to use their unique skills; the turtle can smash obstacles with his shell, while the squirrel uses acrobatics to reach high platforms. The levels are broken into small, contained areas you clear one by one, and the challenge comes from timing your movements to avoid getting caught. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes repetitive collectathon, but there's a lighthearted tension in pulling off a clean food raid without alerting the whole neighborhood.
