Play Pac-Attack Online
Arrange falling blocks to clear rows and guide Pac-Man to munch ghosts while dodging obstacles in this quirky puzzle game.
Pac-Attack came out for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed and published by Namco. It was one of those oddball puzzle games that showed up during the 16-bit era, a time when developers weren't afraid to mix familiar characters with unexpected genres. You wouldn't call it a system seller, but it had a quirky charm that stood out next to the platformers and shooters crowding the shelves.
You control the falling blocks, arranging them to create paths for Pac-Man while ghosts drop in to complicate things. The main goal is to clear rows before the screen fills, but the real challenge comes from Pac-Man himself; he moves on his own, chomping ghosts when he can, and you have to anticipate his route to set up efficient chains. The pacing starts relaxed but quickly becomes frantic, especially when the fairy appears and starts turning ghosts into solid blocks, wrecking your plans in an instant. It feels like trying to solve a puzzle while someone keeps shaking the table.
