Game Overview

Paperboy & Rampage on the GBA is basically two arcade classics crammed into one cartridge, and they couldn’t be more different. First, there’s Paperboy—you’re just a kid on a bike trying to toss newspapers onto porches while dodging rogue lawnmowers, angry dogs, and, for some reason, random tornadoes. Miss a throw, and you’ll hear that awful "thunk" of a paper hitting a wall. It’s weirdly stressful in the best way.

Then there’s Rampage, where you play as a giant monster (pick your favorite: gorilla, lizard, or werewolf) and just… wreck everything. Buildings crumble like crackers, helicopters pop like balloons, and the military might as well be throwing confetti at you. It’s dumb, loud fun—exactly what you’d expect from an arcade port.

Neither game’s deep, but that’s the point. It’s pure button-mashing nostalgia, perfect for when you’ve got 10 minutes to kill and want to either deliver papers or eat a city. The GBA version holds up surprisingly well, even if the screen’s a little cramped for Rampage’s chaos. If you remember these from the arcade, you’ll grin. If not, you’ll wonder why games used to be so weird.
