If you've ever played Phantasy Star II and thought, "Man, Huey deserved his own story," well—someone actually made that happen. This fan hack takes the original game’s clunky-but-lovable robot and throws him into a whole new adventure, complete with redesigned dungeons and some clever tweaks to the combat. It still feels like the Genesis classic you remember, just... weirder in the best way.
The pixel art hasn’t aged a day, and the turn-based battles hit that sweet spot between nostalgic and just hard enough to make you strategize. I got stuck in one of the new dungeons for way longer than I’d like to admit, but that’s part of the charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for 16-bit RPGs with personality, this is worth dusting off your emulator for.
