I picked up Pink Panther: Pinkadelic Pursuit on the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, a time when licensed platformers were everywhere. It was developed by XPEC Entertainment, and it fit right in with that era's portable offerings, a straightforward cartoon adventure that didn't try to reinvent the wheel.
You control the Pink Panther himself, moving screen by screen to hunt down stolen music notes scattered across themed worlds. Your main tools are a supply of bowling balls to stun enemies and a selection of silly disguises, like a knight's helmet or a deep-sea diving suit, that let you access new areas. The levels are fairly linear, but the constant shift in settings, from a spooky castle to the bottom of the ocean, keeps things visually interesting. The challenge is moderate, with some tricky enemy placements that require careful timing with your throws. It feels like a light, silly romp that captures the character's mischievous spirit without overcomplicating things.
