Play Pinobee : Wings of Adventure Online

Pinobee: Wings of Adventure is one of those GBA platformers that feels like it flew under the radar—which is a shame, because bouncing around as a little robot bee is way more fun than it sounds. You play as Pinobee, an unfinished robo-bee whose creator gets snatched right before your activation. Now you’re buzzing through nine colorful worlds to rescue him, with different endings depending on how things play out.

The controls take a second to click—your main move is this quick dash attack in any direction (even diagonally), which feels weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of it. Jumping on enemies works too, but dashing is where the real strategy comes in, especially after you upgrade it to chain multiple dashes together. The levels are packed with flower bubbles to collect and question mark bubbles that give you random power-ups, like shields or supercharged dashes. And if you’ve got a friend with the game, you can trade items over the link cable, which was always a nice touch.

It’s got that classic early 2000s platformer charm—not too hard, not too easy, just a solid little adventure with a cute gimmick. The story’s simple, but the multiple endings give you a reason to replay it. Definitely worth dusting off the GBA for.
