Game Overview

Powerstyx is one of those Amiga games that looks simple at first—you’re just a little dot zipping around, drawing lines to uncover a hidden picture. But then the monsters show up, and suddenly you’re sweating every move. If they touch you or cross a line you haven’t closed yet, that’s a life gone.

What keeps it interesting are the random bonuses that pop up when you reveal sections. Sometimes you get lucky—extra lives, time boosts, or even skipping the level entirely. Other times? Instant death. (Thanks, game.) There’s also this word-collecting mechanic where letters appear, and if you spell out the full word, you win. Otherwise, you’re just trying to uncover 75% of the screen without getting wrecked by the roaming baddies.

It’s a weird mix of strategy and panic, and the pixel art underneath is a nice little reward for surviving. Definitely one of those "just one more try" games.
