Play Preis Ist Heiss, Der Online
1991 Amiga game show game. Guess prices of items across multiple rounds. Includes local multiplayer and digitized host speech.

I remember picking up Der Preis Ist Heiss on the Amiga back in 1991, published by Elite Systems. It was a straightforward adaptation of the German version of The Price Is Right, a game show that was pretty popular at the time. On the Amiga, it fit right in with other lighthearted, party style games that you could play with friends, nothing too ambitious but decently put together for what it was.
You play as a contestant trying to guess the retail prices of various household items, from toasters to televisions. The main goal is to win prizes by making the closest bid without going over, either solo or against friends in local multiplayer. The game uses digitized speech from the host, which was a nice touch, and you navigate through different pricing games one after another. The pacing is quick, though the difficulty can spike with some obscure products. It feels like a casual, social experience that works best with others in the room.
