Play Pri Pri : Primitive Princess Online
Swing your hammer to smash monsters from below or create platforms, but every hit counts—waste them and you're stuck staring at that crystal just out of reach. The tower messes with your eyes, turning solid ground into traps when you least expect it.

Pri Pri: Primitive Princess came out for the Game Boy in 1990, developed by KID and published by Irem. It was one of those early platformers that tried to do something a little different, even on the small screen. You don't see many games from that time built entirely around a single, specific tool like a hammer.
You control a princess who swings a hammer to break blocks and defeat enemies from below. The main goal is to climb a tower by destroying blocks to create platforms and pathways, all while collecting crystals. Your hammer swings are limited, so you have to plan each hit carefully or you'll get stuck. The tower itself is full of tricks, with blocks that can turn into enemies or traps if you hit them the wrong way. It's a slow, thoughtful game that makes you consider every move. Figuring out the correct sequence to ascend each screen feels like solving a quiet, persistent puzzle.
