You control the Prince through a series of interconnected rooms, fighting guards with your sword, navigating traps, and searching for keys to unlock doors. The game retains the series' methodical platforming and screen by screen exploration, but adds new abilities like throwing knives and a more aggressive combat style. The pacing is deliberate, with trial and error often required to progress through its hazardous environments. Playing it feels like exploring a half built palace, full of potential but held together by stubborn determination.
