Play Puggsy Online
Guide a round orange alien through tricky levels, solving puzzles by picking up objects, throwing bombs, and using springs to recover ship parts on a strange planet in Puggsy.
Puggsy came out in 1993 for the Sega Genesis, developed by Traveller's Tales. It was one of those platformers that felt a bit different from the usual run and jump fare of the era, focusing more on puzzle solving and a unique physics system.
You control a round orange alien who crash lands on a strange planet and has to recover the scattered parts of his ship. The gameplay is built around picking up and using objects; you'll grab crates to build steps, throw bombs to clear obstacles, and use springs and balloons in clever ways. The levels are screen by screen, requiring a lot of trial and error as you figure out the exact sequence of actions to progress. It has a deliberate, sometimes unforgiving pace where a mistimed throw can mean starting a section over. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a knot, where every small success is genuinely satisfying.
