I picked up Qui Veut Gagner des Millions for the Game Boy Advance back in 2000, a handheld version of the TV show released by Atari. It was one of those quiz games that felt right at home on the GBA, especially in an era when quick, pick-up-and-play titles were starting to define portable gaming. The graphics were simple but did the job, putting you right in the hot seat without a lot of fuss.

You play as the contestant, answering multiple-choice questions that get progressively harder as you climb toward the top prize. The main goal is to correctly answer fifteen questions in a row without failing, and you have three lifelines to help along the way: 50:50, which removes two wrong answers; Ask the Audience, which gives you a poll result; and Phone a Friend, offering a suggested answer. The pacing is tense, especially as the stakes rise and the timer counts down, making you second-guess even the easiest questions. It feels like a genuine test of nerve and knowledge, right in the palm of your hand.
