Resq is an unreleased beta for the Sega Genesis, developed by Sega. It exists as a prototype from that era, a glimpse into a rescue mission game that never saw a final cartridge release.

You pilot a helicopter through a series of industrial and natural disaster zones. Your primary goal is to locate survivors, lower a winch to pick them up, and ferry them to a safe landing pad. The core mechanics involve precise hovering to avoid obstacles, managing a constantly depleting fuel supply, and making quick decisions about which civilians to save first. The pacing is urgent, and the difficulty comes from the environmental hazards and the relentless fuel drain. It feels like a tense race against a clock you can never quite beat.
