Retee! came out for the Amiga in 1993, a puzzle game developed by The Light Circle. It was part of that wave of clever, often deceptively simple games that thrived on the platform, focusing more on mechanics than flash.
You control a cursor to swap adjacent tiles on a grid, aiming to group three or more of the same color to clear them. The main goal is to clear the board before time runs out, with power-ups occasionally appearing to remove large sections or shuffle the layout. The game offers multiple difficulty levels and a two-player mode, where you compete on a split screen. It starts calmly but quickly demands faster decisions as the timer shrinks. Playing it feels like a constant, satisfying race against your own ability to spot patterns.
