Play Robopon 2 : Cross Version Online
You wake up shipwrecked on a strange island, then end up time-jumping 20 years back to stop some masked lunatic—all while building a squad of 180+ customizable robot pals that get stronger when you fuse them with friends’ units.

Robopon 2: Cross Version came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Red Entertainment and published by Atlus. It arrived during a period when the GBA library was filling out with all kinds of experimental RPGs and monster-collecting games, offering an alternative to more established series. You start the game after a shipwreck, finding yourself stranded on a mysterious island before being thrown twenty years into the past to prevent a catastrophe orchestrated by a masked villain.
You control a young hero who explores the world screen by screen, talking to people and delving into dungeons to gather items and recruit Robopon. Your main goal is to assemble a team of these small robots, train them, and use them in turn-based battles against wild Robopon and rival trainers. A signature mechanic is fusion, letting you combine your own Robopon with those from a friend’s copy of the game via link cable to create stronger, hybrid units. The pacing is brisk, with frequent random encounters and a structure that encourages revisiting areas with new abilities. It feels like piecing together a personal crew of mechanical partners while slowly unraveling a time-travel mystery.
